JIMMY CLIFF

Jimmy Cliff is one of the founding fathers of reggae music, setting the soulful standards to which countless other reggae musicians have aspired throughout the years. This street-level documentary traces Cliff`s roots back to Kingston, Jamaica, offering personal tours of his old stomping grounds, impromptu jams on acoustic guitar, and full-band studio sessions. The program also includes live renditions of some of Cliff`s most popular songs, including Many Rivers to Cross, You Can Get it if You Really Want, and a 1973 performance of the title song from the classic cult film The Harder They Come.
